The D-Day Festival Normandy

from Saturday 28 May to Sunday 12 June 2022
On the D-Day beaches
Every year, the Normans greet you to celebrate their newfound freedom ! Each year since 2007, D-Day Festival Normandy has been offering a programme of festive events for the anniversary of the Allied Landings of 6th June 1944.
Programme : parade of military vehicles (saturday 11 June), bagpipe players (sunday 5 June), re-enactment of a military camp, La Berniéraise nautical animation (saturday 4 June)…



The whale’s rafts

Luc-sur-Mer
This water race is 100% fun and without a time limit. What is the goal ? To attempt to complete the entire course at sea in a homemade boat, reminiscent of the city’s emblem: the whale.
The Tribute Fest

Saturday 2 and sunday 3 July 2022
Luc-sur-Mer
This is the event that launches the summer season in Luc-sur-Mer ! Facing the beach, this open-air rock revival festival brings together tribute bands over two days.
The Tribute Bands are not only copies, they allow the memory of mythical bands to live on !
La pierre à poissons (fish tasting)

Saturday 9 July, Saturday 6 August and Friday 19 August 2022
Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer
Started at the beginning of the 20th century, la pierre à poissons (fish tasting) is held every year.
The vendor, also known as the crier, has been replaced by an army of volunteers who prepare small plates of grilled fish, to be shared with families or friends, facing the sea, with their feet in the sand.

Côte de Nacre Music Festival

from 18 to 27 July 2022
On the Calvados seaside resorts
Six academies and ten concerts, from violin recitals to choir and orchestra concerts, in nine towns in Calvados, five of which are in Coeur de Nacre, with, among others, the Japanese virtuoso violinist Tatsuki Narita, the Korean A Capella Choir, the Estonian Glasperlenspiel Sinfonietta, the Ludwig Quartet, and the Trompettes en Fête with the Quintette Tromba Camerata.
The Courseulles Sea Festival

Sunday 17 July 2022
Courseulles-sur-Mer
Each year, Courseulles-sur-Mer pays tribute to sailors during this colourful, friendly and fun event.
Programme : sea songs, concerts, craft and sea market, procession and blessing of the decorated boats.



Acadian week Festival

from Sunday 7 to monday 15 August 2022
Courseulles-sur-Mer and the Juno Beach sector
For a week, more than 50 family events, concerts, theme days and commemorations are organised to honour the Acadian soldiers who landed on Juno Beach on 6 June 1944.
Concerts : Isabelle Boulay, Michael Jones, Anggun, Tom Leeb, Robben Ford…



15th August Festival

Monday 15 August 2022
Langrune-sur-Mer
This day of celebration begins with a procession from the church.
It continues with a costume parade, a big picnic, a concert. The traditional fireworks will take place on August 19th.
Celebration of the Coronation of the Black Madonna

From 22 to 28 August 2022
Douvres-la-Délivrande
A week to celebrate the 105th anniversary of the Coronation of the Black Madonna. Throughout the week: mass, recitation of the rosary, exhibitions, concerts, conferences and sound and light shows every evening at 10pm outside the Basilica.
The medieval festivals of the Barony

The Barony Park plunges us into the medieval era with its local market, the parade in costume and the many family activities offered throughout the afternoon and evening.
Shell Festival

Saturday 19 and sunday 20 November 2022
Courseulles-sur-Mer
Courseulles-sur-Mer celebrates the star of the plate, the scallop during a festive and musical weekend.
Restaurant owners offer menus based on scallops for the occasion.
